At the time of writing (13th July ) our ‘Rising Robins’ have been enjoying their preparations for the move to primary school. They have visited Miss Moore, Mrs Fealy and Mrs Waters up at the school on several occasions, most of them in their school uniform (with plenty of ‘room to grow’ in them !) The parents have marvelled at how readily they run into their new classroom without a backward glance. It’s as if they’ve been going for months. Back at pre-school, they’ve been practising getting into their PE kits and back again, eating their packed lunches independently and having their morning fruit snack in the same format as at big school.

We’ve all enjoyed a hot and sunny trip to Finkley Down Farm and we’re looking forward to our Sports Day later this week, our 40th birthday party on Saturday (hope you came !) and our ‘goodbye’ party for the older children next week.

 
We will also be saying ‘goodbye’ to Mrs Bottle who has been a wonderful teacher at pre-school for several years. She is leaving to focus on her primary school teaching.  Our garden is looking both beautiful and bountiful. The rabbits have been helping us with the digging but with no harm done. We might even get a small harvest in before the end of term.  We return to pre-school on Thursday September 2nd at 9AM. Did you spot the new opening time ? We have new, extended opening hours :

Monday to Friday from 9AM to 1 PM.

There will still be an option to finish at midday instead of 1 PM.   Also new will be our supervisor, Amy. She is moving to the Salisbury area from Somerset where she has been running a pre-school already. We know you’ll love it here, Amy, it’s a great village with a great pre-school ! Having deputised brilliantly for us, Tanya will return to her role as deputy supervisor in September.   We continue to take children from the age of 2 and it is not necessary for them to be toilet trained.   Please call Tanya on 01980 862117 if you are thinking of joining us.
